**DASK (Digital Agricultural Skills and Knowledge)** is one of the six projects funded through the PoliRural+ **Develop** open call, which supports place-based digital applications. It belongs to the [Central Greece pilot](#c/greece-pilot), but its territory is specific: the farming communities of the islands of **Kythera and Antikythera**.

## The problem it starts from

The project names a practical barrier. Tools for e-commerce, training, advisory services and knowledge support already exist, but on the islands they are **fragmented, hard to use and not adapted** to remote island farming or to the local actors of the agricultural knowledge and innovation system (AKIS). A farmer who has to learn four separate systems usually uses none of them.

## What it combines

DASK brings four functions into one platform:

- a **marketplace** for local products;
- **agritourism experiences** that visitors can find and book;
- **training opportunities** in digital and agricultural skills;
- a **knowledge base** for farmers and advisers.

The stated design goals are a platform that is farmer-friendly, accessible and locally grounded.

## Who builds it

The consortium is led by DASKALOS APPS, with the **Kytherian Foundation for Culture & Development (KIPA)** as the local anchor and an environmental consultancy (ENVCON). Develop projects ran a mid-term stage in spring 2026 and were due to submit final reports in July 2026. The sources available here do not yet describe final results.

DASK tests, at island scale, two things the Greek policy brief asks for: AKIS services that reach farmers digitally, and stronger links between agriculture and agritourism.
