**Practice abstracts** are short, practitioner-oriented summaries of methods and results, written to the **EIP-AGRI** guidelines (European Innovation Partnership for Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability). Their purpose is to let a farm advisor, planner or local authority see in a few minutes whether a result is relevant to them. PoliRural+ plans two batches: **D7.2** (batch 1, month 14, approved) and **D7.5** (batch 2, due in month 34).

## Batch 1: three videos

1. **Assessing regional innovation potential with OpenStreetMap data.** Kernel density estimation over OSM features maps innovation-related assets, such as research institutions, technology hubs and digital infrastructure, across the nine pilot regions. Local hotspots and gaps become visible where aggregate statistics hide them. (https://youtu.be/Jybshpa6W4A)
2. **GeoAI for rural development decisions.** [JackDaw](#c/jackdaw) assesses a place's **weekend tourism potential** from nearby urban population, amenities and driving distances, retrieving current geodata before it answers. (https://youtu.be/H7ubA7s4AYs)
3. **GeoAI meets LLMs.** Three questions are put both to a plain LLM and to JackDaw's agentic tool calling: the local weather, whether a plot suits potatoes, and which water bodies lie in an area. The plain model gives generic or wrong answers. JackDaw calls weather, land-cover and elevation tools for the selected map area. (https://youtu.be/Xu6lkjlGx5g)

## Why the format matters for legacy

The abstracts are aimed at policymakers, practitioners and technical experts, including participants of the Mobilise, Develop and Enhance [open calls](#c/open-calls). D7.2 plans to submit them to the EIP-AGRI platform, where planners and local authorities outside the project can find them. They take lessons from PoliRural: some advanced tools were not adopted locally because of limited know-how and low awareness of their benefits. Short demonstrations address both problems.
