LocalLinks.AI (Czech-Bavarian border)
175 producers, 220 sales outlets, 460 verified links: a short-chain network made visible, built on earlier open-call work in Klatovy.
What problem does LocalLinks.AI address, and what did it deliver?
The Pilsen Region had no structured information on which local producers supply which buyers. LocalLinks.AI built the LocalFarmsAI editor and database with AI-assisted data extraction, validated records for 175 producers, 220 sales outlets and 460 supplier–customer relationships, synced them to the Atlas map and made them queryable through JackDaw.

- LocalFarmsAI: AI-assisted extraction, validation and confidence scoring of supplier–customer data
- Validated records: 175 producers, 220 outlets, 460 relationships; open exports in Excel, CSV, JSON
- Built on FarmTourist (Outreach) and the DIPS ideathon (Mobilise) in Klatovy
LocalLinks.AI: mapping who sells to whom in the Pilsen Region

Short chains already existed in Pošumaví, but nobody could see them as a network. D6.3 names the gap as a regional “lack of structured information regarding supplier-customer connections”. LocalLinks.AI, a Develop-call project led by Šumavaprodukt s.r.o. with Úhlava, o. p. s. and a self-employed partner, set out to close it.
Groundwork in Klatovy
- FarmTourist (Outreach call, Úhlava) contacted more than 80 regional stakeholders. On 21 January 2025 it held the workshop “From Farm to Tourist” in the former Dominican monastery in Klatovy, with 46 attendees and 26 completed long-term commitment questionnaires. Participants showed 85% interest in distribution and vending solutions and 78% in online-marketing training. The project also introduced ideas such as farm vending machines and caravan stopovers on family farms (Atlas of best practices, prp-002).
- DIPS (Mobilise call, Úhlava) ran a two-day ideathon in Klatovy on 25–26 September 2025. One of its prototypes, FarMAppka, maps crop rotations from LPIS data and connects local food producers with regional gastronomy (Atlas, prp-006).
What LocalLinks.AI built
- An extended relational data model for supplier–customer food networks.
- LocalFarmsAI (localfarms.ai), a beta editor with AI-driven semi-automated data extraction, validation and confidence scoring.
- Automated sync to the PoliRural+ Atlas of Regional Speciality for map views, and JackDaw integration for natural-language spatial questions over the food data.
- A user manual and open exports (Excel, CSV, JSON).
The team tested the platform in workshops in Klatovy and Sušice with farmers, sellers and Local Action Groups.
What came out
The database holds validated records for 175 producers, 220 sales outlets and 460 supplier–customer relationships, more than the original proposal targeted. The beneficiaries report a technology readiness of TRL 7–8. Six regional cases went into the Atlas. One is Farma Krasíkov, a family farm that delivers meat, fruit, vegetables and other products with its own transport to a bistro and local shops (prp-072). Another is Farma Zelený near Sušice, which sells Šumava beef and dairy directly and through a farmers’ shop (prp-076).
The schema and API were designed to be transferable, but D6.3 presents adaptation to other pilot territories only as a potential. Because it is open spatial data about real producers, the network is also one layer of the Klatovsko local GeoAI knowledge base.
