New European Bauhaus synergies
Sustainability, aesthetics, inclusion: PoliRural+ has a whole objective on the New European Bauhaus, with countable targets. Here is where it shows up.
How is the New European Bauhaus built into PoliRural+, and where does it show up in pilot work?
Objective O7 commits the project to synergies with the New European Bauhaus, with KPIs of 20 projects identified, 10 cooperations, participation in 3 NEB events and 3 joint workshops. In the pilots, NEB values of sustainability, aesthetics and inclusion appear in the policy briefs' alignment tables (Central Greece, Czech-Bavarian border, Malta), in ARISE's NEB monitoring in the MAAT workspace, and in an NEB-aligned exploitation pathway in the Atlas.
- Objective O7 targets: 20 projects identified, 10 cooperations, 3 NEB events, 3 joint workshops
- Policy briefs link NEB to landscape-based tourism (Central Greece), food hubs and agri-tourism venues (Malta), and the border region as an NEB pilot area (CZ-BY)
- ARISE monitors NEB indicators inside its MAAT stakeholder workspace
The New European Bauhaus in PoliRural+: a project objective with numbers
main tellingdepth: intro1 min markdown
The New European Bauhaus (NEB) joins sustainability, aesthetics and inclusion, the three values the PoliRural+ policy briefs name whenever they refer to it. In PoliRural+ it is more than a reference. It is a project objective with targets.
Objective O7 of the grant agreement: “Create synergies with the New European Bauhaus and other EU projects”. Its KPIs are 20 projects identified, 10 cooperations established, participation in 3 NEB events and 3 joint workshops. These are commitments. The sources used here do not report how far they have been met.
Where NEB shows up in the pilots
| Where | How NEB is applied | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Central Greece RAP | “aesthetics, sustainability, and inclusion in landscape-based tourism assets” | D7.3, Annex 3 |
| Malta RAP | sustainability, aesthetics and inclusion “in food hubs and agri-tourism venues” | D7.3, Annex 9 |
| Czech-Bavarian border | the region proposed “as a pilot area for … New European Bauhaus initiatives” | D7.3, Annex 6 |
| ARISE, Cuenca | KPI and NEB monitoring inside the stakeholders’ MAAT workspace | D6.3 §3.2 |
| All pilots | an NEB-aligned exploitation pathway: inclusive regional design guidelines, cultural identity and landscape integration, green infrastructure, circular design hubs | Atlas, prp-110 |
The project’s domain reference database also files sources under an NEB theme, so pilots drafting their action plans can find them (Atlas, prp-007).
The practical test NEB adds to a rural project is short: is the result sustainable, does it respect the look and character of the place, and is it open to everyone? The Czech-Bavarian border, home of the Klatovy hub, and ARISE are the two places in chapter 8 where it is applied most directly.
